- BOOKING CONDITIONS
Once you have signed a booking form or in the event of making a booking by telephone as in most cases, you authorise reservation staff on your behalf to accept our booking conditions, once the booking is confirmed a contract comes into existence between you and the company.
When confirming your booking the company will issue you with a confirmation invoice showing the amount due. This will be payable not less than eight weeks before departure. Bookings made within eight weeks of the scheduled date must be accompanied by full payment. If you do not pay we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and you would incur cancellation charges which could be up to 100%.
The company does not accept responsibility for any travel or accommodation arrangements made by you before you have received final confirmation of your booking.
N.B Airport Travel hereafter cancelled the company will take all reasonable care in making arrangements but acts solely as an agent for a principal.
- THE COMPANY’S OBLIGATION
The company has done its best to ensure that the statement made in its brochure are correct and we do our best to ensure that the holidays offered are properly arranged and that the services, accommodation, car hire and organisations used are reputable. Nevertheless, arrangements have to be made substantially in advance and difficulties can, occasionally, arise. Accordingly, while the company accepts liability for any loss you may suffer as a result of the negligence of our employees of agents, we do not accept liability for events, or acts of omissions of people, outside our control. However, if you are unfortunate enough to suffer any such problem, your holiday insurance may provide a measure of compensation.
- HOLIDAY INSURANCE
You must take out holiday insurance providing cover of equal to or better than that provided under the company specially arranged insurance. Your attention is drawn to the fact that some of the circumstances which might necessitate you canceling your holiday are ones which would entitle you to make a claim under the insurance. In such situations this would pay for the cancellation charges which the company would be entitled to claim as described in the next section.
Most insurance is compulsory and is included in the price of the car hire but is not included as separate cover in the standard holiday insurance. Any non standard motor insurance should be notified in writing to use by the client at an additional cost.
- ALTERATIONS BY THE COMPANY
Minor alterations may occur in the details of your holidays (for example aircraft flight times or changes to hotel facilities) and will notify you of such minor changes as quickly as possible. Delays caused by weather conditions, technical transport problems, strikes industrial action or other circumstances outside our control (other than as specified below) are regarded as minor alterations and no refund or recompensation can be given in these circumstances.
If any more major material alterations become necessary after the payment of your confirmation invoice is due, you have a choice of either:
- Accepting the amendments as offered
- Purchasing another holiday from us
- Cancelling your holiday
If you choose 1 or 3 we will pay you compensation on the scale below. If you choose C we will refund you all monies and you have paid but no compensation.
Please note that compensation payments do not apply where changes are caused by reason of war, threat of war, riots civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire technical problems due to transport, closure of airports and events beyond our control.
- CANCELLATION BY YOU
If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel a holiday (or any part thereof) which is subject of a confirming booking, notice of cancellation must be in writing, must be signed by the person who singed the booking form, or in the event of a credit card booking the card holder, and must be either sent by recorded delivery mail.
Please note that the policy of our principles varies so much that we have a general policy to cover all eventualities. Therefore all arrangements booked through the company are NON REFUNDABLE and subject to 100 per cent cancellation fees unless otherwise stated in our invoice and therefore insurance is most strongly recommended.
6. CANCELLATION/CHANGES BY AIRLINE
Once you have made payment for your tickets your flights will be protected by the ATOL Provider for that airline, this information will be available on your ATOL Certificate which will be provided to you at the time of booking.
If the supplier identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services you have booked (or offer a suitable alternative) for reasons of insolvency, suspension or changes to the airline, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
Any claims for any losses as a result of non-compliance by the Airline to carry out its obligations will be solely the liability of the ATOL Holder and Airport Travel will not be liable for the same.
